When Walmart discounted the second-generation AirPods for $89 during Cyber Week last year, we knew it was a big deal, and so did everyone else, which is why they sold out in no time at all.
Now, Prime Day is here and it’s happening again (sort of). The AirPods are back on sale at Amazon for just $89.99(opens in a new tab), putting them a mere 99 cents above that record Cyber Week low, and beating Walmart’s(opens in a new tab) and Best Buy’s(opens in a new tab) price of $99.99.
They don’t have the active noise cancellation you’ll find on the AirPods Pro, but hey, neither do the third-generation AirPods that were supposed to be the big upgrade. Instead, the 2019 AirPods remain the superior choice if you don’t quite want to shell out for the Pros. They have five hours of listening time, pretty decent sound quality, and pair easily with Apple devices thanks to their H1 chip.
They aren’t flashy, but they sound pretty decent, and especially if you have more than one Apple device and can live without ANC, are well worth the $90. Check them out before they’re gone.
