Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for February 6th, 2024. In today’s article, we’ve got a few decent new releases to check out. Seems like horror adventures are in the air, but there’s a little splash of visual novel in there if you need a bit of variety. I originally planned to have more going on in today’s article, but sometimes things get busy and this is one of those times. Still, there’s a very nice list of new sales for you to check out, and the expiring discounts as well. Let’s get to the games!

New Releases

Alisa Developer’s Cut ($17.99)

Here’s one of those PlayStation throwback survival horror games, this one trapping you in a house full of doll-like creatures that are trying to kill you. You’ll have to explore the dollhouse and try to find a way to escape, but your pursuers won’t make it easy on you. Get ready for pre-rendered backgrounds, low-poly characters, nonsensical puzzles, and a whole lot of tension. This game has received a lot of praise on other platforms, and knowing how much Switch fans enjoy their horror games, I think it will find a happy audience here too.

CLeM ($15.99)

This is a point-and-click style adventure game where you’re exploring a mysterious house with the help of a notebook you’ve found. You’ll have to solve puzzles, craft tools, and navigate the premises in this dark story. It’s all very vague, but that’s how it’s meant to be. Let’s hope it pays off in the end.

The Lord of Darkness: The Awakening of the Light ($11.90)

A visual novel set in a fantasy world, The Lord of Darkness follows the story of Eldarion, a young blacksmith who soon finds himself wrapped up in world-changing events. There are quite a few distinct characters for a game of this sort, and you’ve got a bunch of endings to shoot for based on your choices. It certainly seems like a lot of effort went into the world-building here, and the price is reasonable in light of that. Do what you will with it.
