Apeks are showing some decent form in recent times, especially on LAN. They reached the Elisa Masters Espoo Grand Final, defeating teams such as ENCE and FURIA earlier in the tournament.

Despite CS2 being touted as the riflers’ game, it was Apeks’ AWPer, Tim “nawwk” Johansson, who shone the brightest in Finland, with his terrific performances earning him the MVP medal for the event.

The Swede recently renewed his deal with the team, which secures his place on the roster for the foreseeable future.

However, nawwk can’t win games on his own, so some of his teammates need to step up, if they are to get a result against GamerLegion and in ESL Challenger Atlanta as a whole.

Nevertheless, Apeks are undoubtably the second best team in Group A, and they should be the squad advancing to the playoffs alongside the home town heroes of Complexity.

GamerLegion performances as of late have left a lot to be desired, with the international squad currently sporting a four-match losing streak.

What’s more concerning is the fact that some of their losses come against relatively low level opposition, which they should be beating on paper. Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, the team’s in-game leader, being the highest rated player on the roster in CS2 is also worrisome.

Usually, callers take the back seat, when it comes to individual performances and statistics.

However, they tend to perform slightly better on LAN and have a lot of experience paying on stages in front of fans. So if they manage to make it into the arena, they do have a shot at making some upsets happen.
