Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Bring Back Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Crowd Density – Rumour

After months of relentless leaks and rumours, recently Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed Mirageconfirming it as the next mainline game in the series. Full details on the title will be revealed at the Ubisoft Forward event on September 10, but of course, as is often the case with Ubisoft games, leaks are continuing to reveal a lot of details in an unofficial capacity.

YouTuber j0nathan was recently responsible for a meaty Assassin’s Creed Mirage leak that not only revealed its name, but also said it would take a “back to the basics”, and, in line with previous leaks, drop the RPG mechanics and deliver a much smaller and purely stealth-focused experience.

Now, he has uploaded another video (via @Mr_Rebs_ on Twitter) that leaks more details on the game. One of the most interesting details that has emerged from the video is that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature a dense amount of NPCs, with on-screen NPC density to rival that of Assassin’s Creed Unity. Impressive crowd density was, of course, one of the headlining features of the 2014 title.

In addition to that, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will allegedly also welcome the return of a number of mechanics and features from older titles in the series in its bid to be more focused on stealth, including the ability to use throwing knives, being able to hide in hiding spots on rooftops, and having slow motion assassinations (especially in the case of aerial assassinations).

In addition to that, the leak also claims that the game will put an added emphasis on parkour, with additional elements on structures and in the environment that players will be able to have parkour interactions with.

All of this is, of course, very reminiscent of classic Assassin’s Creed games predating 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins, and there will be many series fans that should be excited at the prospect of a game returning to that older formula, given all the bloat that we’ve seen in recent instalments.

Official details on Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be arriving later this week, so stay tuned for those.
