Battery Run 3D is a game about racing down tight levels, picking up batteries and earning gems. It’s pretty easy to pick up and play, but there are some twists and turns you’re going to have to get your head around if you want to get the most out of the experience.

And that’s where this guide comes in. We’ve played a decent chunk of Battery Run 3D and discovered what we think are the best strategies to get you into the deeper levels of the game. Follow these suggestions and you’ll have more batteries than you know what to do with.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking at your first gadget or you’ve already got a pile of double A’s to play around with – there’s going to be something here to help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Battery Run 3D.

Blue is best

You’ll often find yourself confronted with gadgets that you’re going to need to stick batteries in to move. You should always aim for the blue gadgets – these are going to take the fewest batteries to move and leave you with more as you move forwards.

Always aim for batteries

Whenever there are forks in the path or choices to make you should head in the direction that’s going to get you the most batteries. The more batteries you have, the more gems you’re going to get at the end of the level – collect as many of them as you can.

Upgrade evenly

You should spend your gems on upgrades as evenly as you can – spreading your spending out across the three different attributes. They’ll all help you get better scores at the end of the level, and that’s exactly what you’re aiming for.

Watch out for switches

Sometimes you’ll spot switches – orange lumps in the level with space for a few batteries. These will get rid of obstacles that would cost you more batteries if you hit them, so it’s well worth plugging in and saving yourself some energy.

Should you watch the videos?

You can watch videos to increase your gem count at the end of a level. All-in-all, they’re probably not worth it. The game might be a bit of a grind, but if you keep playing you’ll eventually unlock all of the upgrades.
