Battlefield 2042’s Steam Player Count Falls Bellow 1000 Players

Battlefield 2042 has fumbled in major ways since its launch in October last year, and the disastrous state that the game has launched on, combined with the lack of updates and communication from developers since then, has made for a very frustrated player base. It’s not surprising, then, that that player base has been dwindling to lower and lower numbers.

As spotted by a user on ResetEra, Battlefield 2042’s concurrent player count on Steam recently dropped to below 1000 players. To be more specific, earlier today, on April 12, the game had a concurrent player count of 979 players, as per the data on its SteamCharts page.

Battlefield 2042 is due to receive another update bringing several fixes sometime this month, while season one of the multiplayer shooter is expected to kick off in the summer. DICE is also working on reworking maps based on feedback from players- read more on that through here.
