Latest – PSV land Dutch teenager

PSV has announced the permanent signing of Dutch teenager Xavi Simons from French champions PSG.

The 19-year-old made nine senior appearances for PSG in 2021/22, although his record of four goals and six assists in seven UEFA Youth League matches is mightily impressive!

Simons has an 81 Potential in FIFA 22 Career Mode, but he could flourish at PSV and see this increase exponentially.

Dutch teams are famed for their production of talented young players, and Simons could join Cody Gakpo and Nony Madueke as PSV’s next big thing.

Career Mode Wonderkids

We don’t see many large increases for overall or potential ratings, with the current crop of wonderkids putting in consistent performances as opposed to proper stand-out ones.

The one exception to that would be German playmaker Florian Wirtz.

WONDERFUL WIRTZ – The youngster is already getting top numbers in the Bundesliga

He has been tearing it up this season, with eight goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga and Europa League.

This has seen his rating increase this year from 78 OVR to 82 OVR.

If he keeps up these goal involvement levels then we expect to see him given another rating increase and also see his potential up there with the best of the wonderkids at 91 OVR.

Release Date

FIFA 23 is months away from launch so we have no official release date just yet, but we still have a good idea of when to expect it.

FIFA 22 was fully launched on Friday, 1 October 2021, so if EA follows the same trend, then Friday, 30 September 2022 could be our FIFA 23 release date.

Expect to be able to access the game sooner than that via a possible Beta or Demo, then Early Access and the Web App.

FIFA 23 Top 10

We fully expect to see Lionel Messi at the top of the ratings once again in FIFA 23, although his rating could slip down a little more.

CENTRAL STAR – Messi’s position reveal could be as exciting as his ratings

That would likely see him go level with Robert Lewandowski as the best two in the game, although the likes of Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe will be doing their best to cement a spot at the top as well.
