A new glitch in Call of Duty: Vanguard has been allowing players to equip the Atomic camo skin on any weapon, even if they haven’t unlocked it.

Atomic camo is one of the tougher skins to unlock. As one of the mastery skins in Vanguard’s mulitplayer, players would usually find themselves grinding to unlock it. Now, with the emergence of this new bug, it seems the challenge has been minimized. A simple trick has allowed players to equip the skin on their weapons. It’s worth noting, though, that this is an exploit and one that will most likely be patched out at some point. Whether or not Sledgehammer games dish out any punishment for players who take advantage of it is yet to be seen.

The glitch was first brought out into the open by YouTuber and KARNAGE Clan member TastyFPS. The streamer posted a video to YouTube yesterday which showed off exactly how he executed the bug in multiplayer.

To perform the bug, players will need to be on PC and using a mouse and a controller. TastyFPS first selects a weapon, places his controller on a table then, using a small amount of movement with the mouse hover over the “none” option. He then presses ‘X’ on the controller and left-click at the same time. From there, he is able to move his mouse over the the unlocked Atomic camo skin and equip it.

As mentioned, wit hthis being a bug we can likely expect to see it patched out soon. It’s unknown if Sledgehammer Games will implement any penalties for taking advantage of the glitch, so use at your own risk.
