Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Finally Has a Release Window – Droid Gamers

It feels like an absolute age since Activision first unveiled Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, and that’s because it is. While the rumour mill spun for months prior to its official reveal, we only learned about it officially back in September 2022.

And, over a year later, we’re still completely in the dark as to when we will play it. Well, at least until today. While we don’t have an official release date, the window has narrowed.

Details Arrived at Call of Duty Next

This news arrived during Call of Duty: Next, Activision’s yearly show that details what to expect for the franchise over the next year. While it went heavy on Modern Warfare 3 and regular Warzone, a small section was dedicated to Warzone Mobile.

So, what did we learn? Well, for starters, Warzone Mobile will feature two maps: Verdansk and Rebirth Island. The latter is a new announcement as of Next.

What Else is New?

The announcement then went on to detail a number of changes that have arrived during the testing phase. This includes performance, gameplay, and control improvements.

The team also pointed towards higher fidelity visuals while reducing the install size, which is an impressive feat.

Is it Just Battle Royale?

Then there is the inclusion of a traditional Call of Duty multiplayer experience, alongside Battle Royale. That’s pretty exciting, though it does pose questions about the existing Call of Duty Mobile.

Finally, the announcement confirmed a spring 2024 release window. This is bound to be disappointing to longterm followers, as the game has technically been pushed back twice this year already.

I Thought it Was Arriving in November?

Prior to this, the App Store listed a November release date too, which is clearly not happening now. Let’s hope that, when it does arrive, it will have been worth the wait.

You can pre-register for Call of Duty Warzone Mobile on Google Play right now.
