Canada’s Biggest Casino Now Open for Business in Toronto

The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto has opened its doors for the first time, making it Canada’s biggest casino. The first patrons visited the property on Tuesday and were able to enjoy over 328,000 square feet of gaming floor. This space contains 4,800 slots, 145 table games, sports betting kiosks, and VIP rooms.

400-room hotel will open later in the summer

In the first phase, only the casino and restaurants are open. The 400-room hotel will open later in the summer, while the entertainment venue and wellness center will also be accessible at later dates.

Great Canadian Entertainment invested about CA$1bn (US$755m) in this new project and the property will have almost 2,000 employees. The expectation is that the province of Ontario will see over CA$500m (US$378m) in economic impact from the resort.
