Company of Heroes 3 is coming to Xbox and PlayStation

They say that every battle tells a story, but all we really care for right now is confirmation that Company of Heroes is coming to Xbox and PlayStation.

Due to drop in 2023, playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 (no old-gen love-in here), Company of Heroes will allow console players to join the fight for the very first time, joining their PC counterparts as the critically acclaimed strategy franchise breaks free.

From Relic Entertainment and SEGA, Company of Heroes 3 will see the franchise come to console for the first time ever, as the boots-on-the-ground storytelling whips up a stir in the Mediterranean. It’s here where Series X|S and PS5 players will get to bear witness to a built-from-the-ground-up version of CoH 3, working in a newly designed control scheme to allow for maximum battlefield precision.

Further to that, and as you’d expect for a game making the PC to console jump, the UI will get a full revamp, ensuring that intuitive button layouts and readability are in place. In turn, that should mean Company of Heroes 3 is seen as the ultimate strategy experience.

When it does arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, players will get to experience immense environmental variety, unlocking authentic tactics as they take in the power of four distinct factions. It’s a game that promise to deliver a whole wealth of untold WWII stories and whether that is through the turn-based Dynamic Campaign Map of Italy that provides a sandbox-style of gameplay or via the classically designed narrative-led single player campaign through the deserts of North Africa, console players should find that CoH 3 delivers.

You can get a first glimpse of the gameplay down in the trailer below, as Relic Entertainment take us through a major mission from Italy. You’ll get to experience the Full Tactical Pause feature that is built-in too.

Due to launch on PC via Steam come 23rd February 2023, expect to see Company of Heroes 3 dropping onto Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later in the year. We’ll keep you looped.
