A game that will allow you to create the city of your dreams, in Kingdoms and Castles you’ll be tasked with designing, managing, building, fortifying and defending your homestead, all as you try to keep a handle on the real living world elements that play out. • Design the city. Strategically plan your city to increase the happiness of your villagers and attract new residents. Offering more than 80 different buildings between accommodations, public services, military facilities, defense buildings, crops…
• Manage resources. Decide how you invest the different supplies (wood, iron, stone, iron, coal, food and money) and make sure you are producing enough to keep growing. Command your citizens to work, harvest or build. The more homes you offer, the more civilians can live in your kingdom, resulting in greater tax collection and work speed, but keep in mind that you will need to produce more food and serve the needs of more people!
• Take care of your citizens. Make sure they are happy and lacking for nothing, or they will start leaving the kingdom! Taking care of the taxes you apply, managing food reserves throughout the year, keeping them protected from enemy attacks and offering hospitals, libraries or baths will make them stay by your side for generations.
• Fortify and defend. Ruling a kingdom is not easy… Vikings, dragons, wolves and ogres will attack your city and villagers every so often, so make sure you build enough defense towers and walls protecting key sites on the map! Having an army does not harm you, either…
• Set in a living world that offers change of seasons that influences harvests, dynamic clouds, herds of animals and growing forests. You can add other kingdoms to the same map to forge alliances!

Multiple game modes and playstyles

Kingdoms and Castles comes with a variety of game modes too. These should let you find your own unique playstyle as you build things up and look for a challenge. Whether you are looking to be creative or prefer to go all-in with everything the game has to offer, the following will be in place…

• Creative: fully customized sandbox mode to experiment.
• Paxlon: peaceful mode without enemy encounters. Long summers and accessible winters.
• Sommer: easy mode, few encounters and nice weather.
• Vintar: hard mode for the ones seeking a bit of a challenge. More enemy encounters and bigger risk if civilians’ happiness goes down.
• Falle: survival mode. Regular encounters, limited resources and destructible headquarters. Precise management is necessary to move the kingdom forward.
