CS2 Long Jump Bind Console Command Explained

CS2 Long Jump Bind Console Command Explained

Movement is an extremely important aspect in CS2 that you need to master if you’re looking to rank up in the game. While having a good aim is certainly non-optional if you’re looking to hit the highest ranks in the shooter, having good movement will enable you to outmaneuver your opponents throughout the battlefield and help you take advantageous gunfights.

While movement in Counter Strike 2 may take months of consistent practice to master, there are certain shortcuts that you can take to make learning movement a bit easier. For instance, assigning keybinds to certain actions in CS2 can help you land even the most difficult jumps in the game without fail.

The long jump bind in CS2 is one of the most useful keybinds that you can have in CS2. Much like the high jump bind in CS2, the long jump bind enables players to hit maximum height with their jump while also helping them to travel the maximum distance.

Let’s check out how you can set up the CS2 long jump bind with just a few console commands.

CS2 Long Jump Bind Console Commands

Firstly, let’s explore the process of setting up a long jump bind using your in-game console in CS2. Upon launching the game, execute the following commands by pasting them into your console.

  • alias +LJ “+duck; +jump; -forward; -back”
  • alias -LJ “-duck; -jump;”
  • bind “space” +LJ

Players also have the option to incorporate this command into their autoexec file, ensuring it executes automatically each time they launch CS2. To edit your autoexec, navigate to the installation folder of CS2 and locate the following directory:

Upon reaching this directory, find your autoexec.cfg file and open it using Notepad. If you don’t already have an autoexec file, simply create a text document and rename it to ‘autoexec.cfg.’

Within the autoexec.cfg file, insert the following command:

  • alias +LJ “+duck; +jump; -forward; -back”; alias -LJ “-duck; -jump;”; bind “space” +LJ

Now, launch CS2 and enter ‘exec autoexec’ in the console to activate the autoexec file.

Congratulations! You’ve now successfully configured the long jump bind in CS2. However, do note that you’ll need to practice your strafes if you’re looking to hit long jumps in CS2. Having a keybind can only help so much if you can’t airstrafe to increase your jumping distance in the game.
