Cyberpunk 2077 Shot by Both Sides: Dante or Bree?

Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of great choices, and another piece of evidence to throw on the pile is the decision to choose Bree or Dante at the end of the Shot by Both Sides quest.

Throughout the Shot by Both Sides mission, you protect Bree the journalist as you chase down a story about Militech. Right when you discover the big break Bree needs for her story, you encounter Dante, a Militech agent here to stop Bree before she leaks her findings. So who will it be? Bree or Dante?

Choose Bree outcome

If you choose to side with Bree, you need to kill Dante. It’s a fairly tough fight, but if you use the best shotguns and stick to cover, it can be over quickly.

After that, Bree leaves with her evidence to run the story about Militech. She gives you Riskit, her pistol, and you earn $5,000 from Mr. Hands, the person who gave you the job.

However, the mission doesn’t end there. After a few hours, you’ll get a call from Mr. Hands telling you that Bree sold the Militech evidence to Netwatch and now, Netwatch agents are after you to tie up the loose ends. In a way, Bree sold you out and now you have to deal with Netwatch.

Choose Dante outcome

If you choose to side with Dante, Dante will kill Bree right then and there. He’ll take the Militech evidence and you’ll be done with the mission. You’ll get a call from Mr. Hands and he’ll be disappointed in you and give you less money.

Personally, I would still choose to side with Bree since it’s the right thing to do. While she makes a wrong decision by protecting herself and selling the info to Netwatch, that’s on here. You can sleep soundly knowing that you made the right decision. Plus, you get the best rewards.
