Dadrion Taylor-Demerson Strengths

Taylor-Demerson is a good athlete for the safety position. He has good speed and range to cover tons of ground in coverage or when helping to stop the run. Taylor-Demerson has good agility and acceleration as well. He will be able to athletically match up with players at the NFL level.

He is a very versatile safety, which adds to his value. Taylor-Demerson can play single high or as a split safety deep in zone coverage. He can handle man coverage as well with the ability to mirror opponents’ routes. Taylor-Demerson can also be used in the slot.

His ball skills are among the best in the class for the safety position. He tracks the ball well in the air, and then is able to go attack the catch point. Taylor-Demerson was able to come away with interceptions and passes defended throughout his career.

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson Weaknesses

Taylor-Demerson is a little undersized for a safety. He stands at 5-foot-10 and 197 pounds, which both fall below the desired measurements. He can fill out his frame a little more, but probably is close to maxing it out. With his size, comes limited length, as he has 30 and 7/8 inch arms. This limited wingspan impacts his ability to wrap up and battle with bigger receivers in coverage.

He plays with great aggressiveness, but that can also get him into trouble. Taylor-Demerson can overrun run plays by taking ambitious angles to the football. In coverage, he can take too many chances then get beat deep.

His ability to diagnose plays can be a tick late. With that, he can fall for misdirections and play actions. When he bites on those, opposing offenses can get big plays. Playing more disciplined will be a big focus for Taylor-Demerson.
