With the release of Danganronpa: Decadence on Nintendo Switch, many players are getting their first taste of the Danganronpa series. Others will be returning to the investigative visual novel to revist the trials once again. Whether you’re a new fan or old, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a wild ride from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll be tasked with locating a bunch of Hidden Monokumas.
These little collectibles of everyone’s favorite murder mascot aren’t always easy to find. Luckily, we’ve listed the locations of every single one below. The list is compatible with all console and PC versions.
Obviously, the list contains spoilers for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. If you don’t want anything revealed prematurely, then this list might be best used on your second playthrough.
There are 30 Hidden Monokumas to be collected across the game’s chapters. Each one can only be found in their respective chapters so, sadly, if you miss one you won’t be able to go back and get it.
Chapter 1 – First Island
Chapter 2 – Second Island
Chapter 3 – Third Island
Chapter 4 – Fourth Island

Chapter 5 – Final Island
Chapter 6 – Hope’s Peak Academy
It’s worth noting that you’ll need to obtain these Monokuma’s in the order they’re listed. Once you leave a room in Hope’s Peak, you won’t be able to return to it without repeating the Chapter.
After collecting all of the Hidden Monokuma’s, the real Monokuma will show up in Hajime’s cabin to congratulate him.
