What is the Desperate Measures perk in Destiny 2?

The Desperate Measures perk is an exclusive perk for almost all Brave weapons introduced in Destiny 2: Into the Light. This perk will grant a damage bonus after dealing weapon final blows. Not only that, but both melee and grenade final blows will provide an even bigger damage bonus, which is stackable as well.

For all of you perk-savvy Guardians, you will notice this perk sounds a lot like the Golden Tricorn perk. And you would be right, except for the fact that this perk doesn’t require your grenade or melee kills to be of the same damage type as your weapon. So, if isn’t obvious, you must get a Brave weapon with this perk.

Out of the 12 Brave weapons, only nine of them feature the Desperate Measures perk in their fourth column. Take a look at the list below so you can have an idea of the perk pool for each weapon and begin farming for your god roll of choice.

Be mindful that with each week’s reset day, new Brave weapons will be added to the initial batch of six that we got. And, once they do, don’t forget about completing the Arcite 99-40 weapon quests for them to be able to drop during your Destiny 2 activities and by opening Lord Shaxx’s arsenal chest. Next step? Hoping that the RNG overlords allow you to get a Brave weapon with the Desperate Measures perk.
