Destiny 2 Hefnd Boss Guide

After defeating Rathil and Locus, right towards the end of the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon, you will have the chance to face the third and final boss. While it won’t be a real surprise because the Destiny 2 Hefnd boss will have appeared during your mission in this dungeon as a teaser at several points, it’s only now that you’ll actually have the chance to face him.

In this regard, absolutely do not underestimate this opponent because he is capable of putting you in great difficulty and you will have to refer to everything you have learned up to this moment in order to defeat him. How to beat the Destiny 2 Hefnd boss

In order to begin the fight against the Destiny 2 Hefnd boss, all you have to do is shoot the Taken Blight Orb, which is located right in the center of the area. However, our advice before throwing yourself headlong into this battle is to study the environment well so as not to be unprepared and have some sort of advantage over the boss. So, look carefully at all the platforms and islands in the area, because you will have to move between them a lot in the various phases of the battle.

Once this is done, you can finally hit the Taken Blight Orb that is in the center of the area. As soon as you do, the boss will spawn, accompanied by some enemies who will try to make your life more difficult. However, fortunately for you, this is nothing new, as you will have already had to face these enemies during the previous boss fights, so you should already know how to behave to get the better of them. However, as soon as you kill a Scorn, this will cause another capture point to appear, which will start the Imminent Wish timer.

When this event happens, as you surely already know by now, what you will have to do is kill all the Scorns that are present in the area and capture all the points where these enemies can go. This phase is really very similar to the one you had to face to defeat Locus of Wailing Grief, so follow the same strategy you used in that case and you should overcome this phase without too much difficulty. However, there are some precautions you will need to take.

In fact, once you kill a chieftain, all players will be subject to the Hex of Vengeful Corruption, which is a status that will give you a timed debuff. You will notice this because a message will also appear on the screen that reads, “Your fists bear corruption. Strike your foes or be consumed.” At this point, enemies will appear that will be corrupted and, therefore, more dangerous and powerful than the previous ones. What you will have to do in this case is attack them with melee attacks to transfer your debuff to the enemies. Be careful that if enemies hit you, you will get the debuff again.

Once the Imminent Wish timer ends, you will get the Naeem’s Wish Empowerment buff, and the Hefnd can finally be hit as you will be able to land hits on it. However, to ensure that you have more time to hit him before he becomes invincible again, it is of fundamental importance that you capture as many points as possible, so that it will be easier for you to inflict damage on the boss since you will have more time available. As soon as this moment ends, be ready to change islands and start a new phase of the battle, as long as you have managed to take away enough life from the boss; otherwise, you will have to play another round in this area.

You will realize that you are starting a new phase of the battle against the Destiny 2 Hefnd boss because you will hear the words “Hefnd’s blight bleeds into the Keep!” Here, luckily for you, you will have the opportunity to inflict damage on the boss without having to worry about performing actions previously that allow him to be made vulnerable, as he will already be vulnerable by default. In this phase, you will have to be careful to always be on the move, as, after a short while, the various platforms will no longer become usable, so you will have to constantly change them.

The strategy to follow in this case is to always be on the move and focus on the boss. Although there will also be other enemies in the arena, it is not essential to kill them, so you can even not hit them; however, always keep an eye out for them too; otherwise, they will overwhelm you and inflict a lot of damage. Once you have dealt enough damage to Hefnd, you will be teleported to the final arena of the fight, where you will have the chance to land the final blow and end the fight once and for all.
