Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter Coming December 6

The team at Iron Wolf Studio, together with Daedalic Entertainment, announced that their Naval-Warfare Sim Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter will see its full 1.0 release on December 6.

Taking full control of a Fletcher-class destroyer, this title depicts the struggle of escort groups that have been tasked with protecting convoys against German U-Boats with their anti-submarine warship.

The title features procedural battle generation, complete with randomized weather, enemy attack patterns, and time of day. This is paired with five different locations, more than 300 voice reports, 10 different battle stations, and four different convoy battle configurations.

Striving for authenticity, the development team at Iron Wolf Studio set out to make sure every last instrument has been accurately depicted. This task brought the team to the United States, where they were able to photograph and study an original Fletcher-class Destroyer. They were also able to interview veterans that have worked on similar vessels.

Once back at their headquarters in Katowice, Poland, Iron Wolf Studio has set out to recreate all game assets from the photos and descriptions gathered.
