Dota 2 Patch 7.32e – The Big Losers

Dota 2 Patch 7.32e – The Big Losers

Who are Dota 2’s biggest losers from Patch 7.32e? We find out!

The latest Dota 2 patch 7.23e became available just a couple of days before Tour 2 Division I of the 2023 DPC started. Speaking of the new patch, you can learn more about The Dead Reckoning Update where we’ve covered the new things that became available.

Even though 7.23e doesn’t include any ground-braking changes, there are several buffs and nerfs that definitely have an effect on the meta. We’ve already shared more information about some of the biggest winners in the new patch, but people also need to know about the heroes that suffered the most. That’s why this article will cover some of the big losers and why they are no longer part of the meta.

If you look at the patch 7.32e patch notes, you will see that many of the top-tier heroes from the previous meta got some nerfs. Batrider is among them because the hero was a popular pick for the mid-lane.

Following the changes, the hero’s Sticky Napalm costs 25 mana instead of 20. Although 5 additional mana may not seem that impressive, it definitely has an effect on the hero’s laning stage. Needless to say, he can’t spam the ability as much as before.

Besides Sticky Napalm, Batrider’s Flaming Lasso also received a small change because the ability’s secondary target range increased from 600 to 650.

Broodmother

While we’re on the topic of heroes that got nerfed, the Dota 2 patch update had a massive effect on Broodtmother. Even though she wasn’t the most popular hero in the previous patch, Broodmother had the highest win rate at The Lima Major 2023. Needless to say, Valve had to make some changes because the hero seemed a bit too strong.

Patch 7.32e nerfed Spin Web because the hero now gets 10/22/34/46% max move speed bonus, instead of 18/28/38/48%. Spinner’s Snare also received a small nerf because its charge restore time increased from 20s to 30s.

Aside from these 2 nerfs, the lifetime of the Spiderlings is now 40s instead of 40/45/50s. As for Spiderites, their lifetime is down from 60s to 40s.

Death Prophet

The previous Dota 2 meta had a couple of top-tier offlaners, but if we have to choose one, we’ll go for Death Prophet. This hero was present in almost all games because of her ability to do damage, farm the lane, and push fast. With that said, the Dota 2 heroes tier list reveals that DP isn’t as good as before because she received a couple of nerfs.

First, her INT gain decreased from 3.3 to 3.0, whereas her STR gain decreased from 3.1 to 2.9. Besides these changes, Death Prophet also got a few changes to her talents. The level 10 one gives +12% Magic Resistance instead of +14%. Her level 15 one gives + 300 HP instead of +30 Spirit Siphon Damage/Heal. Lastly, Death Prophet’s level 20 talent gives +30 Spirit Siphon Damage/Heal instead of +400 HP.

Drow Ranger

Even though Drow wasn’t the best carry in the previous patch, she appeared often, especially among professional teams. It seems like Valve noticed it, so this was one of the Dota 2 heroes that got some small nerfs.

Drow Ranger’s Frost Arrows with an Aghs Shard now has an 8% regen reduction per stack instead of 10%. Besides that, Drow Ranger’s Marksmanship now gives allied heroes only hand of the bonus agility. This is a huge change because it means that the so-called “Drow strats” aren’t that good.

Lina

People who were interested in Dota 2 heroes guide definitely came across an article about Lina in the previous patch. Some people may not agree, but it’s safe to say Lina was the strongest carry in the game.

She appeared in almost every PUB game and was among the hottest alternative in pro games. However, after the arrival of the Dota 2 patch 7.32e, it seems we won’t see her that often.

Following the new patch, Dragon Slave now has a 12/11/10/9s cooldown instead of a 9s cooldown flat. Consequently, she can’t farm as much as before, and she has more problems harassing her opponents.

Light Strike Array, Lina’s Stun is the next ability that received a nerf. The latter now costs 115 mana flat instead of 100/105/110/115.

Up next, Lina also received a substantial nerf to her Fiery Soul. This was expected because this ability made him feel “broken”. After the arrival of the Dota 2 patch 7.32e, Fiery Soul’s attack speed bonus per stack is now 8/16/24/32 instead of 10/20/30/40. As for the move speed bonus per stack, she will get 1/1.5/2/2.5% instead of 1.5/2/2.5/3%.

As for Lina’s talents, her level 1 one gives +250 HP instead of +350. In terms of the hero’s level 20 talent, the Fiery Soul Speed per stack decreased from + 15/1% to + 10/1%.

Naga Siren

Naga was among the top carriers in the previous patch, so she got several nerfs. Starting with Ensnare, Naga’s Cast Range decreased from 575/600/625/650 to 500/525/550/575. Furthermore, the hero’s Aghanim’s Scepter cast range increased from 1.5x to 1.6x.

Song of the Siren also received a nerf after The Dead Reckoning Update because its cooldown is 180/130/80s and 160/120/80s. Lastly, Reel In’s Pull SPeed is now 200 instead of 150.

Nature’s Prophet

Almost as popular as Lina, Nature’s Prophet was a hero that had the chance to shine in the previous patch. Valve decided to make some changes, which is why the hero has a decreased Agi and INT gain.

With that said, Wrath of Nature’s base damage decreased from 115/150/185 to 105/145/185. Lastly, the hero’s level 20 talent Sprout Leashes no longer pierces Spell Immunity.

Besides these heroes, a few others received small changes, such as Silencer, Treant Protector, Tiny, Tusk, Undying, and more. We’re yet to see how those changes will affect the current meta. Make sure to follow us for our weekly coverage of Tour 2 of the 2023 DPC.
