Original (8/1): D3Publisher is developing Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 for Switch, it’s been revealed. A release window has not yet been confirmed.
Famitsu has the early scoop on the game. More information will be shared in this week’s issue of the magazine (and official details should follow soon). A feature will also be included looking back at the overall series.
The original Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, which came to Switch in 2021, is set in a parallel world where the Earth is made of digital blocks. The sequel has the same premise, but this time around “Gaiark” appears from inside the earth, and it’s torn apart. Four new classes from Earth Defense Force 6 will be included.

It has just been announced that the game will release in Asia in 2024, with this version supporting English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese audio options, and English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese text options.
