ECSTATIC promote maNkz to IGL

ECSTATIC have announced that Marcus “maNkz” Kjeldsen will be taking over the IGL and captain role from birdfromsky. The news comes days after it was announced that the latter was leaving after four years with the team.

Danish-majority squad ECSTATIC, previously known as Lyngby Vikings, enjoyed an excellent run of form in the back end of 2021 leading into 2022, taking a number of tier-two online trophies and climbing as high as No. 16 in the HLTV rankings.

maNkz has previous IGL experience with Copenhagen Flames and x6tence

All of this was achieved under the leadership of birdfromsky, who left the team amidst a report that we will be leading a new Copenhagen Flames roster.

In recent months progress had faltered amidst a roster change, with Adam “WolfY” Andersson leaving the team a few months ago to take a break from CS:GO and Romanian Adrian “XELLOW” Guță coming in as a stand-in. The latest change combined with recent results see them now sitting at No. 42 in the world.

“I am glad that I have being given the opportunity to take on the role as IGL again, it’s something I’ve known that I would comeback to at some point in my career, and now was the perfect time for that to happen,” said maNkz of the move.

ECSTATIC will still be needing two players, with XELLOW’s stand-in period having ending and one additional spot now vacant in the squad.

The ECSTATIC lineup is currently:

Denmark Marcus “maNkz” Kjeldsen
Denmark Jakob “Daffu” Schildt
Netherlands Dion “FASHR” Derksen
