After claiming victory over Austria in the Women’s Euros 2022 opener, England Women will be looking to pick up maximum points once again when they take on Norway Women at the Amex Stadium.
On the other hand, Norway are also looking to move onto six points after claiming a 4-1 victory over Northern Ireland on matchday one.
England began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Austria on Thursday in front of the largest crowd in Women’s European Championship history.
Although Sarina Weigman would have hoped for a more comprehensive victory, the England manager will be content to see her side kick off the tournament with a win, which came through Beth Mead’s first-half goal.
That result represented their seventh consecutive victory, while it also extended their current unbeaten streak to 15 matches, and England will also be pleased that they continued their impressive defensive record, having kept five clean sheets in their previous five matches.
England will be determined to continue their impressive run of form, but they will be aware that this encounter will be cagey, with Norway representing their toughest opposition in the group.
Meanwhile, Norway will head into the contest with England in a confident mood after seeing off Northern Ireland on Thursday.
Norway paced onto a three-goal lead inside 31 minutes through goals from Julie Blakstad, Frida Maanum and Caroline Grahan Hansen.
