NHL Vice President of Business Development Jason Jazayeri spoke about the league’s “excitement in being one of the first leagues to partner with ESPN BET and PENN Entertainment,” referencing their long-running media rights deal with ESPN. Jazayeri believes that the partnership with the two betting brands will boost fan engagement even more.

Penn Interactive Senior Vice President of Marketing and Content Aubrey Levy also welcomed the agreement. He believes that it is an especially noteworthy partnership for theScore Bet, which operates in Ontario, as the “popularity of hockey” is unmatched in the Canadian province.
