Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Patch 6.25 Release Date

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker has been a huge splash in the MMO space. Final Fantasy XIV has kept to a fairly strict schedule of an expansion every two years since the launch of A Realm Reborn in 2013, marking a full rebirth that frankly saved the game. The newer versions of the game have kept getting better. We’re now pretty deep into the 6.x patch series, bringing a huge mountain of new content.

Every few months, Square Enix pushes out updates to the game for each expansion. They are usually split between even and odd-numbered patches. The even-numbered ones are usually the larger ones in terms of new content, focusing on quality-of-life functions. These odd ones often have a dungeon and a few smaller changes, as well as crafting balance passes. Often, the developers will also bring in some changes to PVP as well.

6.25 is a pretty weird patch number, being a smaller intermediary patch for the  6.2 patch cycle. These update has focused on both adding small batches of new content, as well as addressing issues with older content. Starting with 6.1, a big new feature in the NPC adventurers to help new and old players clear 2.0 content was added. This most recent patch cycle has also been expanding that.

So when does Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Patch 6.25 come out? Final Fantasy XIV 6.2 Patch released on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. And we’re just days away from the next patch. Here’s the breakdown:

• Patch 6.11 release date: April 26, 2022
• Patch 6.15 release date: June 7, 2022
• Patch 6.18 release date: July 5, 2022
• Patch 6.2 release date: Aug 23, 2022
• Patch 6.21 release date: Sep. 13, 2022
• Patch 6.25 release date: Oct. 18, 2022
• Patch 6.28 release date: November, 2022
• Patch 6.3 release date: December, 2022
• Patch 6.4 release date: April, 2023
• Patch 6.5 release date: August, 2023
• Potential new expansion release: December, 2023/January, 2024

During that time, various other updates were planned to run. The Rising event was the most recent one, ending on Sept. 12 after running from Aug. 27. Other events like The Moonfire Faire 2022 and Maiden’s Rhapsody also ran. Each in-game event features unique PvE rewards, special quests, and even collabs with other games.
