Fnatic vs FUT Preview and Prediction – Valorant Champions 2023

Two EMEA teams are going to meet in the first Playoffs elimination match in the Fnatic vs FUT series

These squads have had two encounters in the past during their EMEA League journey, and Fnatic proved to be the dominant name both times. Moreover, judging by both teams’ performance since then, Fnatic are the favorites of this matchup by a mile. Nonetheless, this is a lower bracket encounter where one of the rosters ends their journey, and anything can happen with so much pressure working against the players. Before this elimination series kicks off, let’s make our predictions –

Fnatic

The Masters Tokyo winners looked far from their usual selves in their last matchup against LOUD, losing 0-2 and getting dominated on Lotus, a map where they were supposed to look flawless. Moreover, Derke had a slow start on Ascent; and even though Alfajer picked up the pace, the rest of the squad failed to catch up. These problems are unusual for Fnatic, and they will try to eliminate such flaws in this encounter against FUT.

FUT

The Turkish squad lost their initial Playoffs match 0-2 against Paper Rex, even though they had a strong start on Ascent with an 8-4 lead in the first half. Reaching so far into the Champions has already been impressive from FUT, and now defeating Fnatic will make them one of the top contenders of the tournament. However, for that to happen, qw1 needs to be on top of his game, unlike the weak form we saw versus the Singaporeans. Even then, securing such an upset like this may just be asking for too much on their first Champions run.
