Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 22 – Spring | TheXboxHub

It barely seems like five minutes since Series 22 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5 were starting. Yet here we are already at the last season, Spring. Yes, it is Hot Season over in Mexico, and so as the series draws to a close, you know what that means, right? Yes, it means that for one last time this series we need to engage in a load of new activities and hopefully score ourselves some new cars.

And luckily, I’ll be able to (hopefully) provide some little hints and tips about the cars and tunes that will see you right.

So without further ado, let’s jump straight in and see what is on the Forza Horizon 5 menu this week. 

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Is That a Supra?!

The subject of this week’s weekly challenge is a car I’ve always had a soft spot for, ever since Smoky Nagata took one of them to 200 mph on the A1!

Yes, it is the turn of the Toyota Supra RZ, the Mark IV model. It’s a true JDM icon, appearing memorably in the first Fast and Furious film.

Should you not have one in your garage, it is available from the Autoshow for a mere 38,000 credits. Or, if you wish to be thrifty, it is the prize car for the “Built not Bought” seasonal championship.

Chapter 1 -Go Beyond

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Two Jay Zee

Making reference to the famously upgradable engine shoved under the bonnet, the 2JZ-GTE, we now have to drive 5 miles in the beast.

Hit the highway, take in the back roads, the choice is yours!

Chapter 3 – Stay Tuned for Upgrades

If we put 10 grand under the hood of this car, maybe more if we have to overnight parts from Japan, we can make a beast.

We now have to win a street race in either A or S1 Class, and so I made a tune in A Class called “Street Supra”. Look for it in conjunction with my name, Red620Ti.

Chapter 4 – Drift Off

Now, for a final step – we need to score six stars at Drift Zones in the Supra.

My racing tune above is AWD, so not great at drifting, so I went again with a stock version to get this step done. Choosing a short course like the one at the Maon Festival site will see this done easily.

And with that, the weekly challenge is complete and we are five points closer to the reward cars of Series 22. 

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

Spring is here and so are a host of new challenges. This week’s collection in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist is as follows…

The Trial – Tune It Up – GT86 vs BRZ

The Trial this week sees us limited to only using one of two cars – either the Toyota GT86 or the Subaru BRZ (they are actually the same car in different suits). We also have a tuning ceiling of A Class 800.

I went with the Toyota, and created a tune simply called GT85. I do wish I knew why it takes so long for my tunes to appear in the list of tunes these days, it was a lot easier giving share codes out!

As threatened, it has finally come time to name and shame the worst team player I have found in my history of playing the Trial. Step forward ChloeXOXO27, it is you!

Taking your teammates out, especially when they are challenging for the lead, and then missing a checkpoint and losing us the race gets you a starring role here. Well done! 

Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovely Lexus RC-F is our reward.

Eventlab 1 – Renegade6783  presents Alpine Terrace Motorspark

For this event, we need only use an A Class car – any A Class car. I stayed in the GT86 from above. Save pennies where we can, right?

This is a long but very well designed track, and I had fun throwing the car sideways whenever I could.

The prize for completing this race is a Donut Media black jumper.

Eventlab 2 – Unworthypleb presents Copper Canyon Rally Park

For this challenge, we need a Rally Monster car, tuned to A Class 900, and so I went with the Peugeot Super 2000, in stock trim. No point tuning for a one horse race, am I right?

Another super long circuit, but the three loops add the fun, and this is a pretty good layout. Two Eventlabs I liked in one week, what is going on!

But hey, a new car horn is yours for doing this – a Donut Media “Trying to Race” horn, no less. Wonder what that sounds like?

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Canyon Pass

The new vehicles for the PR Stunts this week are all the same class – B Class 700 to be precise, and they must all be Classic Sports Cars to boot. I chose a Toyota Celica GT, and you’ll find it under my name in-game, with the tag being simply “GT”.

The speed we need to achieve here is 125mph. It’s on a fairly straight bit of road, so go wild,

A Super Wheelspin will be yours if you drive fast enough. 

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Cliffside

Average speed is what we are after this time, in the same class of car as before, and so I stayed in the Lambo from above. We need to maintain 105 mph, which is barely walking pace for this car. 

The road, however, is somewhat curvy, so be careful, especially as I had to leave stock tyres on the beast.

PR Stunt 3 – Drift Zone – Precipice

Same class of car, but a different challenge this time – lets slide!

Yes, we need to get sideways and score over 60,000  drift points, and so the car of choice this time is a Ford RS3100. Share code, I’m sure you’ll be shocked to hear, is: 125134743.

Yet another Super Wheelspin to add to the pile.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Built not Bought

We now need to select a Barn Find car, tune it to B Class 700, and win a series of races, either solo or in a convoy (assuming you can find a reliable friend to play with, of course).

Strangely, Barn Find isn’t a searchable category, so I went with a Porsche Carrera RS from 1973, the year of my birth. The share phrase is 1973.

For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a Toyota Supra RZ. Yep, the one we need for the Weekly Challenge.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Y’all Ready for This!

Now I have 2Unlimited stuck in my head…

Anyway, we need a vehicle from the US of A, tuned to C Class 600, and of the literally millions on offer I chose a pickup, as what could be more American than the F-150 SVT Raptor from 2011, to be precise. The share code is: 139383916.

We can walk away with another car for coming out on top – a BMW M3 from 1997

Part 3: Other Challenges

Series 22 – Spring focuses on the Photo Challenge, the Treasure Hunt, a bit of a Horizon Tour to keep us on our toes… and that bloody Eliminator appears too.

Photo Challenge – #MatchDay

Not too tricky this week – we simply need to take a 1992 Toyota Supra 2.0 GT to the Estadio Jose Aguilar in Guanajuato and snap away.

I nearly bought one of these cars in real life, fact fans, if it wasn’t for the fact it came back from the test drive with white smoke pouring out of the exhaust…

I’ll post the location and my artistic effort below for your admiration. Or maybe ridicule. You decide and let us know what you think of it in the comments. 

The reward? A new Forzalink phrase, “Pop-Up”.

Treasure Hunt – “A Prelude of Something Great”

The clue this week reads “Time to B Classy and win on the streets, finishing first will earn you the deets”. 

It’s nice when they rhyme, isn’t it?

Street race in a B Class Honda Prelude, anyone? I made a tune called B Prelude to make this as easy as possible, under my GT, Red620Ti.

For finding the chest (I’ll put a picture of the location below) we will receive 100 FP.

Horizon Tour – Co-op Championship

Time for some jolly cooperation!

In case you don’t know, the Tour is a series of co-op races against driverbots, with a little light point to point racing thrown in. It can be any class or discipline so recommending a tune is impossible, but complete it to win big.

We can take home a massive 3 points towards the weekly prizes. See, big!

Eliminator – Battle Royale.

Simply stay alive into the top 30 of combatants to score this week. Hide, race, fight, whatever works for you!

We can walk away with a TVR Sagaris for managing to stay in it.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Zone – Ice Crash

We need to jump about a bit in a GMC Car tuned to A Class 800.

I chose a Hummer EV Pickup, just for a giggle really! I made a tune called EV H to do this with. We need to clear 380 metres to win.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Charged Up

For this race, it’s going to be fairly quiet, as we need to use an EV tuned to S2 Class 998.

After watching Richard Hammond crash one, it can only be a Rimac, right? I went for the Nevera, and the tune I made is called “Nevera”. Surprising, I know!

With a top speed of 280 mph it should be quick enough.

Winning all the races, or two out of three in a convoy, will get us a new horn, the “Hot Wheels Ice” one. Chilly

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to… 

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Tres Colinas

Now for something a bit different, a Speed Trap in a GMC car tuned to A Class 800.

I went with the Hummer EV from above again, and we need to average over 85 mph to win a cool prize.

That prize being a Super Wheelspin. They count as cool, right?

Seasonal Championship – Rally? Let’s Go

For this series of races, we need a Ford and we need to  tune it to A Class 800, and then get racing. I went for the Mustang Boss 302, which makes a surprisingly capable off road car,  and the share code is : 144740677.

For winning out, we can take away a new car, a Peugeot 205 R.

With Series 22 at a conclusion, you should have more than enough points for the Pagani Huayra BC (80pts) and the #64 Nissan Z (160pts). The Z is exclusive to this reward as well, so go for it.

The new monthly Rivals challenges are also live unless you’ve already done them. Chuck in some clean laps around Copper Canyon and the other around Los Jardines circuit. Make sure you take these in this week if you haven’t already, last chance!

Don’t forget to finish the Hi-Lo story as well if you haven’t already.
