Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 23 – Autumn | TheXboxHub

It is stormy season as Autumn rolls into Forza Horizon 5 and while the weather here in the UK has been on the soggy side of wet, I’ve not seen a dust storm yet, so small blessings and all that!

With the dawning of a new season, there are of course new events to take part in, new tunes and cars to suggest. That’s where I come in, hopefully.

Without further ado, let’s see what Autumn has blown into Mexico via the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, shall we?

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Summer Shelby

The subject of this week’s weekly challenge is a car that seems very American to me – that is brash, loud and a bit showboaty! Just like last week, really…

It is the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500, a car that comes in a choice of lovely colours and some very fetching stripes.

Should you not have this particular car in your garage, a quick trip to the Autoshow will let you swap 115,000 Credits for one.

Chapter 1 – Colourful Contender

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Unmatched

Apparently the shelby had the highest horsepower engine produced in North America to date. Not sure about that (Hennessey make much more powerful cars) but to prove it, we need to win a road race.

I have an A Class tune ready to go, share code : 402868577.

Chapter 3 – Shelby Speeding Through

This beastie can apparently top 200mph, and get from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, which is pretty brisk.

Now we have to use that speed to earn five Awesome Speed skills, which I think will be easiest done on the main highway. Mind that van!

Chapter 4 – Cut a Dash

Now, for a final step – paint your car. Yes really.

And with that, the weekly challenge is complete and we are five points closer to the reward cars of Series 23. Do we actually need more cars in Forza Horizon 5? I personally don’t, I’m at the point of auctioning cars because my virtual garage is bursting at the seams.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

Anyways, Autumn is here, and it is still party time. With that are a host of new challenges. This week’s collection in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist is as follows…

The Trial – Sun and Summer

The Trial for Series 23 Autumn sees us limited to only using cars built in the 1990’s, and then only tuned to a maximum of A Class 800. I decided to go with a Lexus SC300, mainly as I could never afford one in the 90’s!

The share code : 453679891.

Hoping against hope, but maybe you will find people who are interested in racing. I noticed a trend last week of people quitting when it looked like we were losing, which saddened me. If you don’t try, how can you win? Although, if there are only three of you (as there were for the last race) it is quite hard for the driverbots to win.

Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovelyJaguar E-type is our reward.

Eventlab 1 – Rickranger711 Presents Sherwood Forest Raceway

Now, I don’t live far from Sherwood Forest, and I wish there was a road like this there!

For this event, we need only use a B Class 700 Modern Rally car. Now, regular readers will know I have the answer to that question – an Evo VIII MR with share code : 141172186.

The prize for completing this race is a new Forzalink Phrase, “Never tell me the odds!”.

Eventlab 2 – Sambuilds YT Presents Mulege Grand Prix

For this challenge, we need a Modern Sports Car, tuned to A Class 900, and so I went with the Honda S2000 CR, share code : 294348066.

This is another well designed course, that is fun to drive. My love for Eventlabs is increasing by the week.

But hey, a Super Wheelspin will be yours for completing the course – maybe you can spin new clothes?

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Zone – Watersplash

We are back to using S2 Class cars for the PR Stunts this week, and so it may be time to let some old faves run amok.

This speed zone is a tricky one, with multiple rivers to get through, and an average speed of 100 mph required to win.

The car of choice is the BMW X5M FE. Share code  is : 519084427. Off Road surfaces and rivers? No problem!

A Super Wheelspin? Makes up for the suspension damage I suppose.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Gran Puente

Having to blaze past this Speed Trap at over 260 mph means it has to be time for my Koenigsegg Agera to make a comeback, share code : 109282883.

Approaching from the right seems to give a better run up.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Trailblazer – Puerta Petrea

Same class of car, but a different challenge this time – let us drive off road!

We need to hit the finish line with over 28 seconds on the clock, and so it is time for that Beemer again from above.

The key to this one is getting the left turn into the rocky area right, so practice your lines.

Yet another Super Wheelspin to add to the pile.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Show Off

Open Top cars is the class this time, and the tuning ceiling is A Class 800. I went with a Mazda Miata from 1994. I had to really, didn’t I? Share code is : 666061914.

For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a McLaren GT, which is pretty tidy.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Rocks and Roll

We need a Pickup and 4×4 class car this week, with a tuning limit of B Class 700. I went with one of my old favourites, the Ford Bronco with share code : 703478894

We can walk away with another car for coming out on top – a Toyota GR Supra from 2020.

Seasonal Championship 3 – Trailing Dirt

Rally monster cars and S1 Class 900 means only one thing, it is time for my favourite car in the game – The Hoonigan Escort RS1800, with share code :264985022.

This thing is an absolute monster.

For winning, it’s a Porsche 911 Turbo from 2014 for a prize. Better than a poke in the eye.

Part 3: Other Challenges

Series 23 – Autumn does more than just focus on racing – there’s the Photo Challenge and a collectible challenge too.

Photo Challenge – #StoneColdAudi

Not too tricky this week – we simply need to take an Audi to Cascada de Agua Azul, and snap a photo. Pretty straight forward, no?

I’ll post the location and my artistic effort below for your admiration. Or maybe ridicule. You decide and let us know what you think of it in the comments. You may have seen last week that the editor was agitating for a new costume – well I say no!

The reward? A new Forzalink phrase, “Action”. Awesome.

Collectibles – Treats and Tribulations.

Somebody has left ice cream cones all over the beach at Playa Azul, and we have to smash ten to complete this challenge.

I’ll post a picture of what we are looking for to make it as easy as possible.

We can win an Ice Cream Van Horn for our trouble.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Turbo Knot

S2 Class and drift means one of Mr Blocks finest is required, and a stock Hoonicorn Mustang should have no trouble in beating the target. Which is 210,000  Drift points, in case you were wondering!

To paraphrase Dory, just keep sliding.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – It’s Snow Joke

We need to keep the old Swedish Flag flying here as we need to use any Swedish car tuned to S1 Class 900, to compete.

I went with a Koenigsegg, obviously, and the CC8S. Share phrase is CC8 under my GT,  Red620Ti

Winning all the races, or two out of three in a convoy, will get us a new car – a 2017 Chevy Camaro

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to…

Seasonal PR Stunt -Danger Sign – La Cantera

Now for something a bit different. A jump in an S2 Car!

Flying like an eagle means it has to be the Beemer again, right? The X5M FE with share code : 519084427.

We need to hit over 400 metres to win, and the prize is another Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championship – Light Up the Night

For this series of races, we need a Unlimited Buggy, ironically enough with tuning limited to B Class 700, and so I went with a Alumicraft Class 10 buggy, share code : 401432454.

For winning out, we can take away a new bit of clothing, a blue stripe casual shirt. I can’t think of anything worse! Except the skinny jeans from last week.

With Series 23 moving along nicely, there are more cars on offer. 80pts for the month will get you a Ford Mustang DD, while saving up 160 points will see you grab a Dodge Super Bee, exclusive to this contest.

The new monthly Rivals challenges are also live – although really you should have done those last week. Grab some clean laps around Cathedral Circuit (I still hate this track) and the other around Arch of Mulege circuit. Do these at some stage in the month. Why delay?

Grab enough points and Series 23 Autumn will also see you gifted with the exclusive HW Trans Am for 20 points and the somewhat dull Audi RS4 Avant ‘18 for 40 points. It’s an Audi, innit.

And what’s to come? Well, stick with us through the whole of Series 23 for more guides covering Winter and Spring. Onto the future…. Series 24 is not far away. When can I stop writing these articles, boss?

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

As always, the comments section is below. We’d love to know if these cars and tunes have helped you out. Perhaps you have a better tune or car? Let us know about it.
