Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova Entering Version 1.0 October 19

To coincide with the studio’s 30-year anniversary, the team at Stardock announced that Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova will enter Version 1.0 on October 19.

Kicking things off shortly after humanity’s discovery of father-than-light travel, Galactic Civilizations gives players the chance to step into the role of the leader of a united world. They have quite the task ahead of them: They are looking to expand their civilization into the galaxy. With this major task put before you, players must determine what technologies scientists should focus on, which policies government bodies should enact, and what specific foreign policy with alien species should be.

One of the new features in Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova is the AlienGPT technology, which can give players the chance to to describe their own custom civilization. From there, generative AI can then be used to create the world of their choosing. Also included is a story-driven campaign, the Civilization Vault, Cultural Progression, a number of new canon alien civilizations, a new starship designer, and a new battle system.
