Go Under the Sea with Disney Speedstorm’s Season 6 and The Little Mermaid | TheXboxHub

Can we really be at Season 6 of Disney Speedstorm’s content drops? Well yes, it seems we can. And this time we are heading Under the Sea. 

Disney Speedstorm only came out of Game Preview to launch in full on Xbox back in September of 2023. But already it has picked up a host of additional content via the various seasons that have played out. That gets us to Season 6, Under the Sea. You can probably guess where this one is taking us…

If you are wondering what Disney Speedstorm is all about, then let us fill you in. First landing on Xbox in April 2023, it utilised the Game Preview scheme to good effect, building on Founder’s Packs prior to going all out with full launch some six months or so later. Frankly, it’s a live service karting game that shouldn’t be as good as it is. But good it is, so much so that we slapped a 3.5/5 review score on it, commenting “Disney Speedstorm is a masterful technical achievement and absolutely in the upper echelons of karting games. It just oozes class.“

You can grab Disney Speedstorm from the Xbox Store as a free download, playing it on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. You’ll also find it on other formats too if you prefer. 

It’s in Season 6 of content where we rock up today. Under the Sea is the latest to test Speedstorm speeders in all new ways, delivering a whole ton of new content pieces. Obviously that content has come about and been inspired by Disney’s classic, The Little Mermaid. 

What this means is that by firing up Disney Speedstorm and taking in Season 6 you’ll be able to go racing in the depths of the Atlantica environment, navigating your way through underwater hazards and more.

But that Atalantica raceway isn’t the only new thing found in Under the Sea. See, Disney Speedstorm’s The Little Mermaid and Season 6 also adds new racers and new crew members. Expect the following to all be found on the starting grid…

• New Racers: Ariel, Ursula, King Triton, Prince Eric, each with their own unique and powerful abilities 
• Bonus Racer: EVE 
• New Crew Members: Flounder, Sebastian, Max, Flotsam and Jetsam, Scuttle, and more
