After a brief tutorial that introduces many of the games features and mechanics, you meet with Edelgard and some other famous characters from Fire Emblem. During the conversation, they explain that it would be a good idea for you to accompany them to camp. They offer to pay you, give you maps so you can find your target easier, and offer to share camp for the night so you can head out in the morning. You’re then given the choice of going with them or declining their offer.

If you choose Go With Them
If you make this decision your character will head to the camp with the three heroes. Your character chats with the group about Jeralt and then you head to camp. You get to speak with the leaders of the Three Houses and use the camps features.
If you choose Decline The Offer
If you make this decision, a voice inside your head tells you that it would be a good idea to agree to make camp with the leaders of the Three Houses. So regardless of the choice you make here, your character will end up going to the camp.
