Here’s Everything to Expect in MW3 Season 1

As the first major update of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 approaches, Activision provided a few major insights into everything to expect in MW3 Season 1.

Although MW3 launched on Nov. 10, Season 1 is still weeks away. The developers opted to let Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 finish before dropping brand new multiplayer and Warzone maps in MW3. In the meantime, fans have 16 remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps to explore as they wait for Season 1.

Here’s a breakdown of everything coming in MW3 Season 1.

MW3 Season 1 is on its way with plenty of new content for both multiplayer and Warzone. Activision confirmed the following new additions to the game in Season 1:

The new map additions to multiplayer will be a nice change of pace from the remastered maps. Urzikstan’s arrival will also provide a much-needed new Battle Royale map after a disappointing year of Al Mazrah.

The MW3 BlackCell Battle Pass costs $29.99. Those who purchased the MW3 Vault Edition will receive the BlackCell Battle Pass at no extra cost.

The BlackCell Battle Pass comes with premium rewards for MW3, including:

Unfortunately, fans will not receive any of their rewards until MW3 Season 1 drops.

MW3 Season 1 likely starts on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023. Activision has yet to announce the date, but we expect the season to launch as soon as Warzone and MW2 Season 6 ends on the same day.

Once MW3 Season 1 goes live, players can purchase the BlackCell Battle Pass, explore Urzikstan, and play some fan-favorite multiplayer modes.
