Hidetaka Miyazaki Teases More On the Way for Elden Ring

During his acceptance speech for Game of the Year, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki promised more Elden Ring content could be on the way.

FromSoftware’s massive RPG, Elden Ring, won Game of the Year at this year’s Game Awards. Director Miyazaki accepted the award on stage and promised, “As for Elden Ring, we have several more things we want to do.”

Elden Ring was released earlier this year, and FromSoftware has already released a new content expansion called Colosseum, where players can battle each other in PvP combat. However, many fans are expecting some form of story DLC given every FromSoftware SouldBorne game received some kind of narrative expansion.

This includes the Dark Souls trilogy, as well as Bloodborne.

While it’s unclear what exactly Miyazaki has left in store for Elden Ring, we know that FromSoftware is busy with multiple projects. Just tonight, FromSoftware revealed Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon at The Game Awards, the next game in the Armored Core franchise.

Hopefully fans can focus on Miyazaki and FromSoftware’s well-deserved win for Elden Ring for Game of the Year.

A rather different kind of surprise presented itself during the acceptance speech when a stage crasher invaded the stage alongside Miyazaki and the FromSoftware team during the Game of the Year acceptance.
