Homeworld 3 “History of Homeworld” Trailer Released

The team at Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive have released a new trailer for Homeworld 3 that looks back at the history of Homeworld.

First making its premiere in Homeworld 3 with the War Games demo this past February, this cinematic serves as a way for players to catch up on the overarching story. The video has been stylized to pay homage to Aaron Kambeitz’s art from the early Homeworld titles.

“While familiarity with previous events is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for fully enjoying the story campaign in Homeworld 3”

A 3D real-time strategy game, Homeworld 3 will feautre a new co-op mode that features RTS gameplay with a roguelike structure. Players will be able to take advantage of huge megaliths and trenches, all while wielding a 3D ballistics system.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Homeworld 3 will be released on May 13 – fans can get a jump on things by pre-purchasing the title via the official Steam page for the game.
