These reportings are close to what director Hiroshi Takai and producer Yoshida said. They stated that players could expect to spend about 35 hours on the main story alone and 70-80 hours on the completionist route. Skipping cut scenes will drastically decrease playtime as well. 

Role-playing games are also known for being time-consuming. Some of the shortest RPGs, like Parasite Eve and Helen’s Mysterious Castle, last about 7-10 hours. On the other hand, the longest ones, like Trails Of Cold Steel 3 and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, can run for over 60 hours.
