To catch the Crabs and Lobsters, you need to get a Crab Trap first. Make sure that you update your game to get the new items and added features. You can get your hands on the crab trap through a side quest, “A Nutritious Food for Sea People?”. To get the quest, visit Duwa, the blacksmith in the Sea People Village, and interact with him. As you find him sick, you will be asked to talk to Mima for a cure. She tells you about the horsehair crabs that are good for coughs, but you require a trap to get them. After that, head to your farm and interact with Otto to get the Crab Trap recipe, which is:

  • 2 Scrap Iron
  • 2 Rope
  • 3 Wood
  • Tiger Shark Tooth

Once you complete the quest, you will unlock the crab trap section. You can purchase more traps from the iDiver app.

The carbs and lobsters are usually found near the shaking rocks, where you can see the bubbles coming out of them. As you see a vibrating rock, select it to set the trap by adding bait. You can put any fish in your inventory as bait, but higher star bait will help you catch rare crabs and lobsters.
Once the traps are set, you’re all good to go. You can perform some other task or even end your dive till the trap catches any lobster. Once a lobster gets caught, the trap will start to sake, indicating to you that the prey has been caught. From there, you can add the species to your inventory by selecting the hand icon.
