Okidogi is a member of the Loyal Three, one of the new Legendary Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC, and we’ll tell you how to catch it including its precise location. It’s a hulking Poison/Fighting-type canine with high attack and defense stats. It’s also one of the toughest Pokemon available to catch! Today, we’re going to outline Okidogi’s battle location and some strategies for catching it in the least amount of Poke Balls possible.

As you play through The Teal Mask’s story, you’ll eventually be tasked with tracking down and defeating Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. They’ve eaten lots of food and have become Titan Pokemon – which unfortunately means you can’t catch them yet. Indeed, you’ll need to return to each Pokemon’s location after you’ve cleared the story in order to capture them. Okidogi is still located at the far end of the Paradise Barrens, which is at the northwest corner of Kitakami. Remember to lock your map by clicking in the right stick twice. That way you’ll be able to figure out which way is northwest much easier.

  • Okidogi appears at Level 70. It’s a physical attacker with lots of coverage moves, so you’ll want to bring a Pokemon that resists both Poison- and Fighting-type moves. Though it doesn’t resist Poison, Breloom works great here – assuming it has the Poison Heal ability, that is. Put Okidogi to sleep with Spore and whittle down its HP with False Swipe.

Unfortunately, Okidogi has the lowest catch rate of any Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet (tied with the other two members of the Loyal Three). Even the Treasures of Ruin are easier to catch. As a result, you’ll want to bring lots of Poke Balls. If you’ve somehow already registered Okidogi in your Pokedex via a trade, a Repeat Ball is your best bet. Otherwise, it’ll be an Ultra Ball during the day and a Dusk Ball at night. A Dusk Ball actually matches Okidogi’s color scheme, so keep that in mind if you like your Pokemon to have matching Poke Balls.
