How to find the Abandoned Hebra Mine in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can chase Master Kohga all over the Depths. He tends to hide out in mines, and some of them are quite difficult to locate. Here is our guide telling you how to find the Abandoned Hebra Mine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – how to find the Abandoned Hebra Mine

The Depths play host to an assortment of mines where you should expect to find great rewards and sometimes challenging enemy encounters. However, the mines are often difficult to reach. The Abandoned Hebra Mine is surrounded by high walls that essentially make it an underground island.

To find the Abandoned Hebra Mine, you must approach from the Rito Village Chasm:

  1. In the overworld, travel to Rito Village. It is located on the island west of Lucky Clover Gazette, south of Hebra Mountains and north of the Tabantha Frontier.
  2. Look for and activate Gatakis Shrine, sheltered within the base of the high rock formation on which Rito Village is built.
  3. Head southeast from the shrine’s front entrance, through some trees, to reach a ledge where someone has set up camp.
  4. Jump out and then paraglide down to the lower side of that ledge to enter a small cave opening.
  5. Inside the cave, drop into the Rito Village Chasm.
  6. Arrive in the Depths and find the Abandoned Hebra Mine directly ahead of you.

When I first drop through the Rito Village Chasm to visit the Abandoned Hebra Mine, I like to activate the nearby Sikatag Lightroot. That way, I can fast travel there in the future.

The Abandoned Hebra Mine is easily accessible once you know where to look. However, there may be a boss encounter with Master Kohga waiting. If you haven’t already done so, I advise you to find and clear the Spirit Temple. Check our separate guide if you need help figuring out how to beat the Spirit Temple boss.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for purchase from the Nintendo Store.
