How to Get the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla Classic Kratos Skin

By completing the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC you will have the chance to receive many rewards, including the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla classic Kratos skin. Once you have acquired it, you can change your skin very simply and you can use it at any time during any of your playthroughs, both the base game and the new DLC. Getting hold of this skin, however, will not be a very simple and quick thing, both because the time to complete the DLC is around four hours and because you will have to face several bosses such as Tyr for example.

God of War Ragnarok Valhalla Classic Kratos Skin: How to Unlock it

To switch between young and old Kratos, first finish up the Valhalla DLC – this new roguelike mode takes around four hours to be completed. You will face off against Tyr a few times, and once you win, head back to The Shore and chat with Freya and Sigrún. Then, a message will pop up on the screen, telling you about the cool stuff you’ve earned by completing the DLC. Now, go to the Valhalla gateway and talk to Gunnr – he will hook you up with a brand new set of Spartan Armor.

After that, go to the Appearance Pedestal nearby. Press R3, and you can switch between the classic and default looks of Kratos. To complete the classic Kratos look, put on the Glory of Sparta chest piece, the Pride of Sparta wrist armor, and the Mark of Sparta waist piece that Gunnr gave you. What’s neat is that, unlike some other Valhalla stuff, you can use the classic Kratos look in a regular playthrough. You can turn it on or off by going to the menu and pressing R3 while checking out the weapons or armor tabs.

If you’re eyeing the new Spartan armor set, go check out the big wooden chest in one of Brok and Sindri’s workshops. Along with the new armor and classic Kratos look, you also get to use the Legacy Spartan Rage in the God of War Ragnarok base game. Just like in Valhalla, it lets Kratos wield the super cool Blade of Olympus, so nostalgic gamers will be more than happy to return to use this type of weapon.
