How To Power Your Generator In Starfield

Generators provide a huge boost to energy for outposts in Starfield. Check out this guide to find out How To Power Your Generator In Starfield. This way you don’t have to put down 10 huge solar panels all over your base.

How To Power Your Generator In Starfield

When you are at your outpost, put your generator down wherever you want it. The generators are powered by Helium, so it is best to do this on a planet where you are farming that. Once the generator is down you will need a Gas Storage unit near the generator. This is where you will store your Helium to power up the generator.

When both are down, enter build mode and press the right trigger on the gas storage. Now connect the red line to the generator and these will be attached. Now the generator will use the Helium in the storage until it is out. If you have something producing Helium, connect that to the gas storage and the generator can stay on indefinitely if you have enough production.

You can turn the generator off as well, saving Helium if you need that.
