How to unlock Gunslinger Engram in Remnant 2

When you start Remnant 2, you’ve got a wide array of Archetypes to choose from. But no matter which one you choose, you’ll always be able to find and equip the other options later in the game. Most of the other Archetypes can actually be found rather easily. However, the Gunslinger is much harder to find for some reason. Luckily the solution is simple once you know what to do. So, here’s how you get the Gunslinger Archetype Engram in Remnant 2.

Remnant 2: How to unlock the Gunslinger Engram

For every other starting Archetype, you can buy the related Engram at each of Ward 13’s merchants. Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to the Gunslinger’s Engram. Maybe Gunfire Games knew that people would want to get the Gunslinger after they made their character. In which case it makes sense that they’d try to hide it better to annoy these specific players.

Before we can unlock the Gunslinger Engram in Remnant 2, we need to do two things. First, you need to have fully completed at least two worlds. So you need to beat two world bosses in total. Then, you need to take the Segments earned from these foes to the Inner Sanctum in the Labyrinth. If you haven’t been here yet, just keep progressing through the game until you do since this is a mandatory area.

Once you’ve taken two Segments to the Inner Sanctum, we need to head back to Ward 13. Then go and speak to Mudtooth and choose “I had some questions.” You need to keep asking him about his stories until he gives you the Worn Cylinder. He’ll also give you the Gunslinger’s Ring for doing this so you get two nice items in the process. This may take a while so feel free to skip all his dialogue until you get the necessary items.

Then once you’ve got the Worn Cylinder, take it up to Wallace and trade it with him to unlock the Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2. This Archetype is one of the best raw damage dealers in the game, so it’d be a great pairing for nearly any other Archetype you have access to. Pair it with the cowboy hat to make the role feel just right. And if you’re hungry for more Archetypes, look out for the secret Engineer role.
