Hunt Showdown has embraced Halloween by kicking off its latest live event, The Harvest.
Starting today, October 26th, and ending on November 9th, bounty hunters can brave the bayou for some festive treats, including a new legendary gear.
During The Harvest, you can play Hunt Showdown to earn Halloween event points. These can then be exchanged for the following items.
- Bronze Wormseed Shot (unlocked with first login)
- 500 Hunt Dollars
- Legendary Combat Axe “The Executioner”
- Three Vitality Shots
- One Bronze Wormseed Shot
- Legendary Caldwell Rival 78 “The Marwood”
- Three Frag Bombs
- Three Big Dynamite Bundles
- Legendary Mosin-Nagant M1891 Obrez Mace “Closed Casket”
- 1000 Hunt Dollars
- Legendary Hunter “The Headsman”
Crytek has also released a new DLC pack for Hunt Showdown dubbed “Cold Blooded”. Like previous content packs, this offers a bundle of items including one Legendary Hunter and two Legendary weapons: The Reptilian (Legendary Hunter), Avarice (Romero 77 Talon), and Tooth to Tail (Bomb Lance).
Although it’s premium DLC, we can’t help falling for The Reptilian. Just look at him!
Earlier this year, a Hunt Showdown update introduced a new map. When we reviewed the game at launch, we scored it a brilliant 8 out of 10:

This is an unusual entry in a genre ruled by far snappier shooters, and it takes time to get your head around Crytek’s clever twist on the formula. Hunt Showdown is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Crytek’s unique shooter continues to receive praise from fans and critics for its unusual spin on the battle royale genre. There’s a strong PvE element as players search the map for a bounty target, killing this boss-like monstrosity before trying to safely extract from the bayou. At the same time, other squads are competing for the same bounty, often leading to tense shootouts between players.
