Inazuma Eleven’s PS5, PS4 Debut Will Need to Wait Until Next Year

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has pulled up at the last minute, and that means it’ll be spending some extended time on the physio’s table before the series finally makes its PlayStation debut next year. While it always looked unlikely this one would make its previous 2023 release window, developer LEVEL-5 has now officially slapped a 2024 launch date on it.

The good news is there’ll be a worldwide beta test early next year, in March 2024. The bad news is, at least initially, it’ll be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. This online stress test will include random and private matches, as well as the first chapter from the single player campaign. You can check out a new trailer embedded above.

We went hands on with this one at the Tokyo Game Show earlier in the year, and certainly enjoyed our time with it. Our only concern is that the arcade-style soccer gameplay could get repetitive, as we already found we were going through the motions in a single match. Hopefully the developer finds ways to keep the core action exciting in the final release.
