Is There a Squidward Skin in Fortnite?

Fortnite, the globally renowned Battle Royale game, is no stranger to introducing a myriad of skins and crossovers. The latest buzz in the gaming community revolves around a potential Squidward skin, inspired by the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants series.

A video circulating online showcases what appears to be an exclusive Squidward skin in Fortnite. This has led many to believe that the beloved character from Bikini Bottom has finally made his way to the Fortnite universe. The source of this video? A TikTok user by the name of Watery Shoe.

Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the Squidward skin is not an official release by Epic Games. Instead, it seems to be a product of modding, where players can customize and alter game elements. Watery Shoe’s video, while intriguing, does not meet the high-quality standards typically associated with Fortnite skins. This modded skin is likely only visible to the creator, with other players seeing the original skin that Watery Shoe had equipped.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time the TikTok user has stirred the pot. A previous video showcased a Minecraft Steve skin in Fortnite, which, like the Squidward skin, turned out to be a mod rather than an official release.

The possibility of SpongeBob SquarePants characters, including SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward, making an appearance in Fortnite remains open. Given that SpongeBob has previously been featured in other games, such as Fall Guys, a collaboration isn’t entirely off the table. However, for now, players will have to wait and see if these beloved characters will officially join the Fortnite roster.
