Do you love playing Kingdom Rush? Well, then you’ll be happy to know that Ironhide Game Studio is busy making the next sequel of the series. They’re bringing out Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance, which is the fifth instalment in their much-loved tower defense series. It’s slated for release on Android, iOS and PC later this year.

What Are The Deets?

Well, to be honest, nothing much is known about the title yet. But they did drop a 42-second promo for Kingdom Rush 5. The studio is asking gamers to hang tight for now, promising that more updates are on the way.

Just like its predecessors, you can expect Kingdom Rush 5 to have light-hearted humour and numerous Easter eggs. And of course, expect to stumble across fun references to pop culture icons, classic tales and other video games. On that note, why don’t you catch a glimpse of the teaser below?

Ever Played Kingdom Rush?

Kingdom Rush burst onto the scene back in 2011, burgeoning first as a web game. It then moved onto iOS within the same year, followed by Android in 2013. Since then, there have been three more games in the series, including Frontiers (2013), Origins (2014) and Vengeance (2018).

As an extra treat, the studios also rolled out a spinoff exclusive to Apple Arcade called Legends of Kingdom Rush. Developed by Ironhide Game Studio and published by Armor Games, the series boasts charming graphics and solid tower defense tactics. And I’m sure Kingdom Rush 5 will create the same vibe again.

As mentioned above, the series often pays homage to famous icons and games. So far, the series has paid homages to Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Warcraft and more. If you haven’t played any of the Kingdom Rush games yet, head to the Google Play Store and give them a try!
