Legend Passive Perk Rework Seemingly Coming in Apex Legends Season 16

With all the recent commotion surrounding perks in popular titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Fortnite, it appears Respawn Entertainment is cooking up some major changes to the passive perk system for Season 16 of Apex Legends.

In addition to an all-new hardcore battle LTM, prominent Apex leaker Thordan Smash seemingly revealed in a new YouTube video that “a couple of existing classes will get new perks.”

According to Thordan Smash, in addition to the previously leaked Support Bins that will only be accessible to Lifeline and Loba players, it seems Respawn is also working on adding a red Supply Bin that can only be opened by Offensive Legends.

“It was datamined originally by KralRindo but we didn’t really have any information,” Thordan Smash said in the video. “It now appears that this is going to be for the assault class and what you will find in it is going to be extra ammo and weapon attachments.

“Basically, a lot of the existing classes will get new perks added to that class to make them more viable in the game. There’s also something about a Skirmisher class that can actually see what’s in a Care Package.”

Ultimately, it will be interesting to see how these changes play out if they were to indeed be true. Up until this point, Apex has had four types of Legend classes — Offensive, Defensive, Recon and Support — but they arguably haven’t played much of a role at all in defining the meta team comps.

As far as the passive perks themselves, Fortified perhaps remains to be the most prominent one in the game, considering Low Profile was removed in Season 9: Legacy.
