LEGO Fortnite: Squad and server size, explained

LEGO Fortnite is a PvE survival crafting game where you and your friends need to collect materials, build structures, and fight enemies. The big question on my mind going into it is how big is the squad and server size in LEGO Fortnite?

How many party members are in a squad and server in LEGO Fortnite?

In regular Fortnite, we know you can play solo, duos, trios, and squads which are one, two, three, and four party members respectively. We also know that regular Fortnite has up to 100 players in one lobby or server. While we don’t know the exact party limit yet for LEGO Fortnite, we have some hints that lead us to believe it’s bigger than expected.

Usually, survival crafting games only have the capacity for up to four players per server (except Minecraft which is always the exception to the rule). LEGO Fortnite is similar to Minecraft in many ways, and one overlap they have is LEGO Fortnite will have up to 16 players on one server.

When you view the LEGO Fortnite game via Fortnite, you see a few tags on the left of the screen. You’ll see the By Epic tag as well as the survival, co-op, open world, and sandbox tags. The tag that interests me the most is the 16 tag, which when looking at regular Fortnite reads 100 signifies that the player count for one LEGO Fortnite server is 16.

This means that you can have up to 16 friends on one server working together on specific builds and adventures. I’m incredibly excited about this because I have more than four friends who play Fortnite so I’m always having to jump in between groups and play sessions.

With LEGO Fortnite allowing up to 16 players on one Shared World, I can play with all of my friends and family at the same time and even have one friend playing couch co-op with me.
