As part of MAR10 Day earlier in the month, it was announced that Nintendo and Illumination are teaming up again for a second Super Mario Bros. animated movie. Given the success of the first one, that wasn’t exactly surprising. The new film is set to debut in April 2026, so it’s a couple of years away.
That leaves us plenty of time to speculate about what the new Mario movie could include. What would you like to see? Do you have any specific ideas regarding what Nintendo and Illumination should include? Let us know in the comments.

Surely Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD can finally be released now? They were a shoo in since day 1, but now we also have a year without Zelda otherwise, and the final year of the switch, which would necessitate a bunch of easy ports anyway, and supposedly the switch 2 has been delayed, which means even if they originally had a bunch of other ports to fill the schedule, they now need even more, and they have two Zelda games just sitting there collecting dust…

Could they please top up the NSO library? So many great games are missing. Or are they saving those for the Switch 2 as well?

I wish they’d release The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower remasters, and a western release for Buddy Mission Bond.
I do expect at least 2 remasters, a Kirby spin off and some third party collab that took to long.

I know a lot of people believe Nintendo will definitely save Prime 4 to be a cross-gen Switch 2 launch title but I’m not sure about that at all if Switch 2 is a Q1 2025 release. I could definitely see Prime 4 being a Switch-only title for late 2024.

At this point in the Switch’s life, I’d be happy with just remasters and ports, with all of Nintendo’s new stuff being saved for the Switch’s successor console, including Metroid Prime 4.
Speaking of Metroid, a remaster of Metroid 2 Samus Returns and remasters of Metroid Prime 2 & 3 would be good.
