Wolverhampton Wanderers will take on Levante in a friendly in Benidorm on Thursday, as they continue their pre-season schedule.
While Levante have been through just one game, this contest will represent the Premier League side’s fourth game of the summer.
Wolves played their opening two matches of pre-season behind closed doors by July 9, but they now go from one extreme to the other with five fixtures between July 20 and July 31.
A day before this contest, the Wanderers will square off against Alaves, while Besiktas, Sporting Lisbon and Farense will follow the encounter with Levante.
Wolverhampton are likely to go with a largely second-string XI for this game, but head coach Bruno Lage will still be intrigued to witness how his fringe players match up against a team of Levante’s calibre.
In their opening two matches, they recorded 4-1 and 3-0 wins over Forest Green Rovers and Burnley respectively, with those matches taking place at their training facilities.
Seven different players got on the scoresheet in those occasions and Lage will hope that it is a sign of things to come after two desperately poor campaigns in the final third.
On the other hand, Levante are currently preparing for their first year back in the second tier after their relegation from La Liga.
Levante finished four points adrift of safety, despite victory on the final day, leaving new head coach Mehdi Nafti with a rebuilding job at Ciutat de Valencia.
With their new campaign not starting until August 12, Levante had played just one match since returning to training on July 4, beating Qatar SC 5-1.
Three days after this fixture, Levante will face off against fellow top-tier outfit Getafe, as they look to step up their preparations, after which they will kick off their Segunda Division campaign at home against Huesca.

Levante head coach Mehdi Nafti is set to give the players who started against Qatar SC an opportunity to further improve their match fitness, as the club prepares for the 2022-23 campaign in Segunda Division.
However, if available, goalkeeper Dani Cardenas may return to feature between the sticks for this contest.
