Meizhou Hakka vs Chengdu Rongcheng Match Analysis and Prediction

Fresh off the back of claiming their first win of the new Chinese Super League season, Chengdu Rongcheng make a trip to the Wuhua Hengpi Football Town to take on Meizhou Hakka on Monday.

The hosts head into the contest unbeaten in each of their four home matches this season and they will be looking to maintain this impressive record.

Mezhou Hakka failed to pick up a third consecutive victory for the first time this year as they were held to a goalless draw by Beijing Guoan.

At the end of the game at the Meixian Tsang Hin-chi Stadium, both sides were guilty of lack of sting at the attacking end of the pitch as they failed to convert their chances before settling for a point each.

Milan Ristic’s side had previously ended their three-game winless run when they swept aside Cangzhou Mighty Lions 4-1 on June 29 before securing a 1-0 victory over Shenzhen four days later.

With 14 points from nine matches, Meizhou are currently seventh in the Chinese Super League standings, six points behind Henan Songshan Longmen in the AFC Champions League qualification spot.

Meanwhile, Chengdu Rongcheng got their league campaign up and running last time out when they secured a 2-1 victory over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger.

Dun Ba scored in the 51st minute to cancel out Ruibao Hu’s first-half opener but Mutellip Iminqari struck in the 73rd minute to hand the hosts their first win of the league.

Prior to that, they had kicked off the new season with successive defeats against Shenzhen and Beijing Guoan before picking up six draws from their subsequent six matches.

Having picked up nine points from nine games, Seo Jung-won’s side are currently 14th in the league standings, but they could climb as high as 10th place with all three points on Monday.
